Personalization of baby comforters and textiles: a false good idea

Attention, unpopular opinion, as they say now...

Yes yes, we know, it comes from a good intention! A beautiful personalized comforter with the baby's name, a blanket and an embroidered towel... What a thoughtful gesture.

So at Miocherie, well we don't find it crazy... We'll explain why.

Come on, you saw us coming with our big second-hand enthusiast boots... it's a big stop to second-hand, to donation, to the passage to the little one : and yes, it's harder to give them a second life when a first name is embroidered on them :-).

As for textiles, it's a bit of a shame not to be able to put them back into circulation, especially since they're not the kind of things you keep for a long time; children grow up quickly.

And for the cuddly toys, unfortunately you can't be sure that your cuddly toy will be the chosen one, even if it is magnificent and made in France :-)

For a kindergarten backpack or school bag, if you absolutely want to embroider or put a first name, make sure to do it on the inside. We don't want to freak you out, but it's easier for a stranger to approach a child by calling them by their first name embroidered in large letters on their school bag or small bag in the park.
